Hyman - Lambert Memorial Scholarships

Each year up to three (3) scholarships will be awarded by the American Academy of School Psychology to deserving students in School Psychology. The scholarships will be in the amount of $1,000 each, which can be used by students to help defray the costs of tuition, books or to subsidize their attendance at either the annual meeting or the American Psychological Association or the National Association of School Psychologists Convention.

A committee appointed by the President of the American Academy of School Psychology consisting of three Academy Fellows shall determine the scholarship recipients.

Criteria for the scholarships include:

1) Enrollment in a doctoral program in School Psychology
2) One letter of recommendation from the student’s advisor
3) Student’s graduate transcript
4) Student’s vita
5) A letter from the student detailing their professional interest in School Psychology and how they intend to use their scholarship
6) Copies of any papers or publications completed by the student

Applicants are required to submit all information by mail to the AASP President at the address below by July 1, 2008. A committee consisting of three Academy Fellows will select scholarship recipients. Awards will be announced at the annual meeting of the AASP at the convention of the American Psychological Association in Boston.
